The Donut can also be used for a weight bearing therapy. A balance training helps dogs to be aware of their body, which improves proprioception (the dog becomes more aware of the position of its body in space). This makes the dog feel confident because they can better deal with an unstable and / or changing environment.
The Donut offers a moderate balance challenge.
You can also adjust the balance challenge by under-inflating so the ball is not as firm. It has textured bumps on one side and a smooth surface on the other side.
